MAN’S GLORY
Greetings. Exodus 33:18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. Moses asked God for a good thing, and we have not; we have only asked to behold our own glory. Our glory has been how our own carnal mind has interpreted the scriptures. John 7:18 He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory: but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true, and no unrighteousness is in him. My interpretation is how I see God’s word and it glorifies me, because I seek my own will or way. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. When reading the Bible our desire should be: God show us the Spiritual meaning of your words or glory. Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. My glory that I saw has only brought condemnation or death because it’s the wisdom of the carnal mind. We have condemned ourselves by what has come from our own lips. 2 Corinthians 3:9 For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory. We thought what at first we saw while reading God’s words was Glorious, and we gloried in that fact. Understand every man glories in his own wisdom or judgement about the Bible at first, this is part of God’s plan of salvation. 1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. We have spoken or preached our own worldly wisdom about the Bible, which is foolishness to God, when this is revealed to us, we can repent and be saved. We have never preached the cross or death to our mortal thinking. Our own judgement appears right to us because who are we to trust God or ourselves? John 7:24 Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
PART 2
Exodus 33:18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. When I beseech the Lord I am asking for His mercy, and In our present state of mind we need help. Psalm 118:25 Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord: O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity. King David knew he was spiritually poor and would wait on the gospel one day, or the great last day being preached unto him. Matthew 11:5 the blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them. When it is revealed to us from above, that we are all born spiritually blind, then we can receive our sight. John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth. Spiritually we have never walked [and the lame walk] in God’s word because we are contrary, thus we are lame. Leviticus 26:27And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me. Leprosy [the lepers are cleansed] is characterized by having spots: our spiritual garments which should be white, are instead spotted by the flesh. Jude 1:23 and others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire;
hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. We have not spiritually heard [and the deaf hear] God’s words because we have heard it our way. Spiritually we are already dead [the dead are raised up] unless God quicken or make known the immortal meaning of His words. Ephesians 2:5 even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved. We cannot glory in our mortal thinking about the scriptures, correction we can and do: our pride has puffed us up or leaveneth. 1 Corinthians 5:6 Your glorying is not good. Know ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump?
