PROMISES
Greetings. Hebrews 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. None of us have had the faith to believe that we could receive the spiritual revealed word or seed that the scriptures promise: this seed is nothing physical. Luke 8:11Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God. Bible faith is believing God will reveal the hidden spiritual meaning of His word: this is the gift of grace. The reason we don’t believe a hidden gospel even exist is: 2 Corinthians 4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. When we can believe in something we can physically see and touch or handle: it’s no longer a promise from above. Romans 8:24 For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?Problem is all we have ever hope for is a God or genie in heaven to grant our physical request list. Can we believe that God would give us a seed or the words from heaven? The old man of sin in all of us says in our hearts that is impossible. Genesis 17:17 Then Abraham fell upon his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, Shall a child be born unto him that is an hundred years old? And shall Sarah, that is ninety years old, bear? People in their hearts laugh at the thought that a greater wisdom or seed from God exists. Two foolish man told me recently, if they wanted to hear what a scripture meant all they had to do was Google it. Psalm 53:1 To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity. Sometime our actions speak louder than words; if I believe an invisible God exist, I will seek Him out. We form and corrupt image of God in our thinking based on our own righteousness which is iniquity. Our self-righteousness is something filthy or abominable in the mind of God.
END OF INTRODUCTION
Promises are strange things because something has been offered to us, and we are waiting for that thing. Promises can either be physical or mental. The first promise I can remember that never materialized was these new gym shoes that promised to make me jump higher and run faster. I was a kid, and this was the golden age of television advertisement. The promise God promise us are spiritual, yet the false Church world has made these promises into something physical. 2 Peter 1:4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. Spiritually observed that this verse mentions nothing about God’s promises being something physical. Our human nature is defined as the natural earth and the things on it, being the essence of a person or thing. 1 Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. The Holy Ghost must discern the Spiritual meaning of each verse and even a single word. This is the only way we can receive God’s divine nature or how God thinks. John 14:26 But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. We can never understand or receive the thing[words] of God in this nature or our natural thinking. We must first hear the Spiritual things or words as God said unto us, or we hear sin or our own thoughts. What is required of all of us to be partakers of this divine nature, mentioned in the verse above? And how am I going to escape this corruption that is in the world also mentioned in: 2 Peter 1:4? This corruption has to do with our corrupt thinking, and the world in the next verse: speaks of what’s in our hearts or minds. Ecclesiastes 3:11 He hath made everything beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, [ the corruption is put in our hearts at birth]so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. God Has made all things beautiful and in His time. He will reveal the beautiful spiritual meaning of His words at His time, and this is His promise. The problem being we have never desired any spiritual knowledge of His words. Abraham and Sarah refused to wait on God’s promise of a seed to be born unto them at first, and produced their own seed or Ishmael. In the natural sense they were too old physically. Unless God gives us Spiritual strength we can never understand or receive the promise of eternal life hidden in his words. Hebrews 11:11Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised. An Ishmael symbolizes a thought born out of our carnal or fleshly thinking about God's word. Our thoughts in the Bible symbolizes our spiritual children because we spiritually birthed them out of our mind. God sometime uses physical things we can relate to, thus showing us spiritual things. Genesis 16 Now Sarai Abram’s wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. And Sarai said unto Abram, behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children [Ishmael] by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai. And Sarai Abram’s wife took Hagar her maid the Egyptian, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to her husband Abram to be his wife. We are commanded to wait on these divine words or God’s promises to be made known unto us. We refuse to wait on a divine seed or thought to be born from above, and our devilish wisdom produced an Ishmael by an Egyptian hand maid or bondwoman. The bondwoman or bondman were your servants, and mentally our evil thoughts are servants to us. When we serve our own wicked thoughts about the Bible we are serving sin. Galatians 4:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? Cast out the bondwoman and her son: for the son of the bondwoman shall not be heir with the son of the freewoman. We, like Abraham will want to keep our Ishmael: our desire will be to keep our corrupt seed, and it grieves us to think a greater seed from God even exists. Genesis 21:11 And the thing was very grievous in Abraham’s sight because of his son. Ishmael or our thoughts are not the promise seed or the divine nature of the uncorruptible seed of God.
PART 2
Proverbs 20:22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee. When we refuse to wait on God to make His word known unto us; we do evil and make His words our thoughts or judgments. God rewards or recompense us for our rebellious evil thoughts against His words: in a ways or thoughts we have never mentally walketh or thought of. Isaiah 65:2 I have spread out my hands all the day unto a rebellious people, which walketh in a way that was not good, after their own thoughts. While we are still in a spiritual day, God’s promise can still be made known unto us. We wrongly imagined we can save ourselves in our natural corruptible thinking. God’s words which are Spirit and life, but only when He reveals their spiritual meaning. The promises of God are to quicken His word or the spiritual meaning of them. John 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. God made man a corruptible being and this corruption is both physical and mental. Since God put this mental corruption in our hearts: when I read His word my heart or mind corrupts their spiritual meaning. 2 Peter 2:19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in bondage. Theyin the above verse can be our own thoughts or other carnal minded people. But our corruption or interpretation appears beautiful to us because it is our own wisdom. We feel we have the liberty to make the scripture say what we think, bringing ourselves in the bondage of sin. We all love at first what we think the scriptures are saying: because we made ourselves a judge and ruler over God’s words. We mentally made ourselves a prince and the future King of our own mental nation. Psalm 135:10 Who smote great nations, and slew mighty kings. This wicked prince feels he will be a King and knows how to judge God’s words: better than God because he is partial in himself. James 2:4 are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? Yet, God has promise our wicked kingdom of worldly thoughts cannot endure. Revelation 11:15 [latter part of verse] The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.
PART 3
We refuse to allow God’s word to be free of our wicked interpretation. Exodus 9:17 As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go? Why would we do such a wicked thing? Because it is our chance to exalt ourselves over God’s people or words: we all become a type of a spiritual Pharaoh of Egypt. Exodus 9:1 Then the Lord said unto Moses, go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, thus saith the Lord God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me. Israel in the Bible can symbolize God's Word which are his people. The idea of being locked up for a crime is unthinkable to me. Yet, this next verse spiritually tells me I am in a mental spiritual prison, that I need to escape from this worldly corruption of thinking. 2 Peter 1:4 whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. We were all born in this worldly corrupt way of seeing the Bible, yet this way or my way seems right to me, but it is only the way of spiritual death. The precious promises have never been precious in our hearts: because we could not endure the temptation of making God’s words our thoughts. James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. Our way or thinking seems right unto us because we don’t love God. Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Why would we want to escape our mental corrupt thinking about the scriptures? Does it appear so bad in this corrupt way of thinking? In fact, we love this mental prison house of our own making. So, we become a mental warden of this prison and God’s word become our prisoners: we oppress the spiritual meaning of God’s word and love to do so. Why? Because we were born into this corruption. 2 Peter 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire. I can promise you a pig or sow will always find some mud. I once saw my dog eat its own vomit; it was the most disgusting thing I ever saw. Psalm 51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. We promise God’s words will never be quicken or made known unto us: because we oppressed their spiritual meaning, we made them serve us. Romans 4:14 For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect. Our Law or way of seeing the Bible makes God’s promise of seeing it His way of none effect.
IN CONCLUSION
We all need God to give a spiritual understanding of His word or when we physically die we return to the dust. Ecclesiastes 12:7 Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it. Because we are all born corrupt: our spirit of error longs to return to its place of origin. The Prophet knew without the promises of God being made known unto him what his fate would be. Job 10:9 Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?Let’s all beseech God that His promise of a divine nature be granted unto us.
